Plot[]
Ginger tells a scary story in class, scaring his classmates, but Ms. Vanthrax was not amused. She demanded to know how he knew about a monster that lived in the woods. Ginger explained it was a silly story, and Ms. Vanthrax suspiciously just brushed it off.
Meanwhile, Tom and Angela were practicing for three-legged race at the carnival, while Ginger was stalking Ms. Vanthrax, following her into the sewers and back into the classroom. He sees her pressing a button at the bottom of her desk, transforming her classroom into a monster lab. Ms. Vanthrax makes a call to a Master Hunter, only for Ginger to slip and catch her attention.
Ms. Vanthrax places Ginger into a cage, and Ginger threatens to send the video footage if she doesn't let him come out. So, she agrees. They go to the forest and wait for the monster to appear. Ginger is frustrated that he just had to wait behind a rock. So, he takes out a wooden spoon and tries to find the monster himself. The monster shows itself and attacks him, so Ms. Vanthrax is forced to scare it away.
Next, they go to the carnival, where the monster sucks the joy out of all the people, making them gloomy, or conflict with other people. Ginger decides to lure the monster into a trap, effectively trapping the monster. So, Ginger is chased into a corner and has his joy sucked out, but Ms. Vanthrax takes out a magical orb and traps the monster in it. The carnival regains its color and happiness. Ms. Vanthrax lets Ginger enjoy the carnival but tells him not to stay out too late because he owed her a history report.
