Talking Santa was an app from Outfit7. It was released on 29 November 2010 as the seventh app in the Talking Friends series.

How to Play

• Press the to switch to a whole new app. (iOS only)
• Talk to Santa and he will repeat your words.
• Poke (his head or tummy), swipe (to slap him) or tickle Santa's belly to see his various reactions. After many slaps or pokes, he will grab a gift from the gift bag and stomp on it, and kick it away.
• Shake the device. The field will start snowing.
• Run Santa over with a huge snowball.
• Give Santa milk & cookies. Look out for Tom, as he will sometimes take Santa's milk!
• Touch the bag to see your gifts.
• Press the to send customized Christmas postcards.
• Record videos and upload them to YouTube & Facebook or send them by email or MMS.

• If he is hit three times, Santa will pull a present out of his bag, and jump on it.

If you don't interact

• Santa rubs his hands and chatters his teeth.
• Santa sneezes.
• Santa goes Ho ho ho in a slow tone (even after stomping on the gift).

Trivia

• The original model used for this game was actually originated from TurboSquid.
• Every app character (apart from Hank and Becca) has appeared at least once in this app.
• The Christmas postcards changed over the time.
  • On 18 November 2011, Roby was replaced by Ben. Gina, Lila and John joined in the picture too.
  • On 6 December 2013, Baby Hippo and Harry were replaced by Angela, Ginger, and Pierre, and John was removed.
• The app was featured on The Today Show in December 2010.
• As of iOS 16, this app no longer functions, but rather crashes and closes as soon as it is opened.
• There's one inappropriate sound called balls_kick.wav
• The old 2010-2011 icon is taken from TurboSquid.
• Santa can not be pet. If you try, you'll slap him if you touch his head and if you touch his tummy, he will laugh.
• In the older versions of Android, Santa gave an iPhone for you, but it was removed later.
• Originally, this app costed $0.99 on the App Store.
  • Also, the Android version of this app was free to download on the Google Play Store without microtransactions, although it had the free label in the icon and the name and ads.
