Talking Harry the Hedgehog was an interaction-based video game developed by Outfit7. The app released on 14 August 2010 for iOS devices, and was the fourth app in the Talking Friends series.

The main feature of the app was that Harry could speak in 3 different voices (Normal mode/Ninja mode/Matrix mode), unlike any of the other apps.

It was removed at 2013 for Android and Early 2014 on iOS for unknown reasons.

Features[]

  • Talk to Harry and listen to him repeat everything with a bored voice.
  • Poke Harry.
  • Press buttons to see the effects.
  • Give him a blue drink and he enters ninja mode.
  • Give him a red drink and he enters matrix mode.
  • Try to touch or talk to him while he is in ninja or bullet dodger mode.
  • Record videos and send them as MMS, upload them to YouTube & Facebook or send them by email.

If you don't interact[]

  • Harry will take a deep breath.
  • Harry yawns while sitting.

Controversy[]

Harry's headband had a symbol on it which looked similar to the Rising Sun Flag. Outfit7 received complaints because it was seen as controversial, and the logo on the headband was subsequently removed on March 23, 2012. However, this was never removed from the Android version of the game, due to a later lack of supporting the Android version of the app. This is the first controversy of an Outfit7 app.

Trivia[]

  • This app originally costed $0.99 on the Google Play Store.
  • The original model used for Harry was originally sourced from TurboSquid[1].
  • There is some unused audios in the files of the game.
  • This was the first Talking Friends series app with a minigame, the second being Talking Gina the Giraffe and the third being Talking Ginger.
  • In the old versions on iPad of the app, it had different textures.
  • This is the first app to feature the character talking in multiple voices, the second being Talking Gina the Giraffe.
