Talking Ginger 2 (formerly titled Ginger's Birthday until the 18th of April, 2014) is an interaction-based app developed by Outfit7 and released for iOS on the 8th of April, 2013.
The app is a sequel to the original Talking Ginger app, which was released one year prior to this app.
Gameplay[]
Talking Ginger 2 features similar gameplay to previous titles in the Talking Friends series. The player can poke, pet and smack Ginger. Unlike most Talking Tom and Friends apps, this app is designed to be educational. Therefore said, the goal of the game is to unlock various puzzles. To get new puzzles, the player must do three things. First, they must hold down the party horn button. After that, the player will need to play a minigame where they feed Ginger various foods. Once Ginger is full, the player has to play the last minigame. The player has to click on candles that pop out of the cake, making sure that they react in time. New candles get unlocked as progress is made. After all three things, a puzzle piece is unlocked. The player has to keep doing the steps above to make progress towards puzzles. There is an extra feature in-game where the player can "eat" with Ginger, which shows a loop of Ginger eating food.

- In the earliest versions, the graphics were uglier than usual.
- The Jigsaw Puzzles in the game showcase pieces of Ginger's childhood.
- There was a gift button that took the player to Talking Friends Shop, It was removed in 2016 due to the shop being closed.
- This is the last app to use the classic animation style and models for all of the characters.
- This is the last app to display the Talking Friends logo on the splash screen. The next game, My Talking Tom, doesn’t have that logo, although it has its own logo.
- This is the last app that has Gina and Baby Hippo, even though both of these characters have 2014 logos. It is unknown as to why they stopped appearing in new apps by 2013.
- This app is one of three apps with Baby Hippo and Gina in the same app, the first being Talking Gina the Giraffe and the second being Talking Ginger.
- According to one of the puzzles where Ginger is drawing on the carpet using colored pencils, Ginger is left handed.
