Talking Ginger is an interaction-based game app developed by Outfit7. It was released on the 12th of August, 2012 as the 19th app in the Talking Friends series. This app features the character Ginger.

It’s late and little Ginger is getting ready for bed. He needs to shower and dry, brush his teeth and go potty. Will you help him?
Every time you get him ready for bed, you unlock a new piece of Ginger’s dreams. There are 50 mysterious dreams to be unlocked. Make sure you collect them all.
Gameplay[]
- Talk to Ginger and he will repeat what you say. - Click the shower button to shower Ginger. - Use the hair dryer button to dry him off. - Play the "Toilet paper rolling" minigame by clicking the toilet paper button. - Brush Ginger's teeth by clicking the toothbrush icon to win a puzzle piece. - Access the "Toothbrush timer" by clicking the timer button. It lasts for 1 minute and 30 seconds. - Solve puzzle pieces such as "Wow, big bug!" or "Gina and I playing dentist." by clicking the puzzle button. There are 70 puzzle pieces in the game. - Record your interactions with Ginger by clicking the record button. Click it again to stop recording."

Controversy[]
Similar to the famous controversy of the app Talking Angela, a hoax spread that child predators would watch the user playing through Ginger's eyes. This hoax spread because of a "man" is seen in Ginger's eyes. This has been proven false because the eye needs something to reflect off of. There are still reviews saying that Ginger is spying on the user, but it was already proven that it is fake.

- Sometimes, in the toilet paper minigame, Ginger disappears.

- This was the first app in the franchise to feature only Ginger.
- It was also the first app in the franchise to include puzzles.
- Previous versions of the app featured a slightly different bathroom design, with green and blue walls, a more realistic shower, and a blue shower curtain instead of orange.
- Older versions on Android featured stars in the background of the puzzles, instand of the one used in Talking Ginger 2. Ginger appeared to be dreaming in the background in all devices.
- In older versions, when you brush Ginger's teeth, the bubbles and foam do not appear.
- The older version has a broken Toothbrush Timer.
- This game was the first to include a timer called a "Toothbrush Timer". - In older versions, you couldn't buy toothpaste anymore due to server issues, similar to what happened in Talking Ginger 2.
- This game was the third to include a minigame, following Talking Gina the Giraffe and Talking Harry the Hedgehog.
- Five puzzles have Ginger in other apps. Those being Talking Tom Cat 2, Talking Ben the Dog, Talking Pierre the Parrot, Talking Tom & Ben News, and Talking Santa Meets Ginger.
- The game was strangely pre-included with Korean phones alongside other well known western mobile games such as Angry Birds, albeit translated into Korean as "말하는곱슬이".
- The Korean version had unlimited toothpaste but removed the puzzle system as all the puzzles were unlocked out-of-the-box. It also implemented extra telemetry services to spy on Koreans' SMS and calls.
- As for 2024, a loading screen has been added.
- This is the first app that only includes Ginger, the second being it’s sequel and the third one being the playground app.
