Everybody Hates TomTalking Tom and Friends

Roy Rakoon, originally known as the Raccoon, is the main antagonist of the 2014 show's 5th season, Talking Tom Heroes: Suddenly Super, and several games in the Talking Tom & Friends franchise.

Being the main antagonist, Roy is a cold-blooded and vicious criminal, determined to do anything in his power to get what he wants. He is also a thief and usually steals rare or expensive possessions.

Appearance[]

Roy is a brown raccoon with a small flick of hair, light brown eyes and a black eye marking, he also has a goatee and wears a striped shirt with suspenders connected to his jeans. His hands also have a black marking, as well as striped on his tail. The Chibi design of Roy sports white fur rather than tan fur, and lacks the fur on the sides of his head, as well as his flick of hair. In addition of having yellow eyes instead of brown ones.

Personality[]

Roy is portrayed as a manipulative character throughout all of his appearances who robs people of their possessions whether it be gold or someone's life. The gang have always been a rival to Roy, even if their disliking for each other doesn't begin from their first meeting. Tom and him are enemies in every game and episode, but he pretends to be curious as to why Tom is angry at him to mask his evil persona. Roy knows that Tom is aware of his misdeeds and Tom gets jealous of the popularity he gets from his achievements, though knows Roy only does them to gain the town's trust. In "Everybody Hates Tom", Roy revealed his true intentions to Tom as to tell him that he wanted to and had successfully had stolen Tom's life, taking his position and turning everyone else against him, even his closest friends. Because of that, Roy temporarily lived in Tom Studios while Tom was homeless on the streets in the mentioned episode. He also has a murderous side as he was willing to kill Tom and all of the citizens in the launch party when his identity was revealed by Tom in front of the citizens.

Talking Tom Gold Run[]

Roy debuted in Talking Tom Gold Run, as a thief that would steal gold at the start of the game. The player's objective is to chase and subdue him. He wields a hammer and he has immense flexibility to climb onto trucks easily.

Talking Tom Pool[]

Roy appears selling a dirty water park, that Tom and his friends buy. He gives them a key to unlock the door to the water park. Angela notices that the water park is very dirty and now Tom and his friends have to clean it up.

Talking Tom Candy Run[]

Roy breaks into the Candy Shop through the window and steals the candies; Tom notices he is stealing them and he escapes by running away.

Talking Tom Hero Dash[]

He and the other raccoons cause trouble in the town and kidnap Tom's friends at the start of the game. Tom has to save his friends and the world. The player can make their character run into a raccoon to punch it out of the way.

Talking Tom Splash Force[]

Roy and the other raccoons kidnap animals and destroy their homes. The player has to play as Tom, Angela, or Hank, and they have to throw water balloons at the raccoons to defeat them.

Talking Tom Time Rush[]

Roy breaks into Tom's House and steals the stones from Pirate World and Marble World, later, Roy takes a Stone Bike in Dino World, later, Roy takes a ship and in Marble World and he makes an explosion in the volcano.

My Talking Tom Friends[]

Roy sneakily breaks into Tom's and his friends house, he then steals all their stuff without them noticing. While Roy was about to escape through the bathroom window, Tom goes out of one of the stalls and sees Roy. Tom calls all his friends by whistling, they all try to chase Roy down but got stuck on the window instead since it was small. Roy then successfully escapes.

Neighbor Roy[]

He was briefly seen as a statue in the Museum, overthrowing Tom as the "Coolest Person" in town.

Roy moved next door to Tom and the others and he is labeled as "cool" by the city.

Tom held a grudge against Roy for overthrowing him with the "Coolest Person" statue in the Museum. During Roy's house-warming party, Tom sneaks around his mansion and knocks over Roy's pig statue, opening a secret door. He finds blueprints of the museum, an antique crown and another secret door. However, he decided not to investigate further.

Later, Tom infers that Roy intended to steal a ruby from the museum and catches Roy at the museum. He accuses Roy of burglary and activates the security system. Roy explains to the town that he was sneaking into the museum. The town trusts Roy, and boos Tom for ruining Roy's good deed.

Micro Spy Tom[]

Roy hosted an auction for a donut statue. Tom decided to shrink himself in Ben's submarine, enter Roy's body, and spy on him via his eyeball. However, the retinal scanner was too bright, and Tom hit a button that leaves the submarine lodged in Roy's brain.

Ben, Ginger and Hank shrunk the taxi and enter Roy's body to rescue Tom. They found Tom, but the submarine was stuck in the brain. So, Angela repeatedly hit Roy with a painting to shake Tom out. Later, once Tom was dislodged and rescued, Ginger stomps on Roy's brain, causing Roy to act wildly and uncontrollably. To escape Roy's nose, Tom pulled out one of Roy's nose hairs to cause him to sneeze.

Dude Ranch Showdown[]

Roy was a chaperone for the Dude Ranch field trip, singing to children.

Later, Tom found Roy and chased him into an abandoned mine, only to find that he was chasing nothing more than a mirage.

My Sweet Halloween[]

Roy entered a house-decorating contest for Halloween. When Tom's Pumpkin Monsters attack, he is chased into the storage room. When they escape the storage room, Roy escapes the garage through the back door, abandoning the friends.

He achieves first place in the contest, but was attacked by Tom's Valentine's cards and cupid, and is chased away.

The Incredible Super-Fan[]

The friends, along with Bongo and McGillicuddy, interrogated Roy at his house. Roy claims he witnessed Hank flying, and directed them to the electronics store.

Roy to the Rescue[]

Roy saved Tom during a ballooning accident. They crashed into the forest. Roy was confident that he'll be praised once again for saving someone, leading Tom to spend the majority of the episode putting Roy in danger to save him. At one point, Tom sabotaged a suspension bridge Roy was on, only to fall in the process. They both fight over who'll be the rescuer, until Ginger ends up rescuing both of them.

Who is Billy?[]

Tom made a fake online personality to try and find Roy's secrets. Roy comes to the garage to tell the gang that Billy was missing. After realizing that Tom faked being Billy, he decides to settle the discord between them once and for all.

Everybody Hates Tom[]

Tom said that Roy hacked the Helping Hand bots to attack citizens and steal their belongings. He joins the friends to investigate the hacking in the forest. After finding incriminating evidence suggesting Tom hacked the bots, Roy and the friends leave Tom in the forest.

Later, when a disguised Tom visits the garage to clear his name, Roy quietly admits to Tom that he was indeed the one to hack the bots, in order to get Tom hated and take his life and belongings, before shoving Tom in front of an angry mob.

He holds a launch party in his house for Ben's new invention, virtual reality sunglasses. An alliance of Tom's old enemies help Tom break into Roy's house and expose Roy's secret room.

After Tom infiltrates the secret room, Roy's identity was fully exposed to the public. He then escapes by using the The Helping Hands and pressed a button to cause his Mansion to self-destruct on everyone. He then escapes by flying away by using The Helping Hands.

Trivia[]

  • According to an official description, the reason why Roy steals stuff is to make himself happier. However, his demands never make him feel truly happy as he doesn't have the company of any true friends.[1]
  • Roy's design was seen as an easter egg in a Season 4 Behind the Scenes video.
  • In "Who is Billy?", Roy only sang the beginning of Gone Away himself, and played the piano while Angela sang the rest of the song.
  • Roy's voice is Tom Kenny's normal speaking voice.
  • His last name, "Rakoon", is a corruption of the word "raccoon", his species.
  • He used to be called the Raccoon Robber, and in one of the videos on the Talking Tom YouTube channel, Outfit7 called him the Robber Raccoon. His name was revealed as "Roy Rakoon" in Season 5.
  • Roy is shown to be good with kids as shown in "Dude Ranch Showdown" stating that he was like a "dad" to all of them, and in "Neighbor Roy" he volunteered to be a babysitter.
  • Roy is the second character who have a known last name, after Becca.
  • He is the only character in the show who is a raccoon.
