Plot[]

Tom and Hank are packing their things in the driveway for their annual camping trip. Tom goes inside while Hank somehow fits all of his gear into one tiny backpack. Tom tells Ben that laptops weren't allowed on the trip. However, Tom reveals that he invited Angela and Ginger to the camping trip, angering Ben. Tom tells him that they are going to the desert to see an Ultramoon, a rare event in which the moon gets extremely close to the Earth.

That night at the desert, Ben wants to do a hacky sack competition like they used to do, but Tom is cooking hot dogs, Ginger is busy looking for dinosaur bones, and Hank wants to play the didgeridoo. Then, Ben sees the ultramoon rising. Hank continues playing, and Ben stormed off.

In privacy, Ben takes out his smuggled laptop. He is shocked to find a signal in the middle of the desert. He receives a message, allegedly from the moon. Convinced he was talking to the Moon, he befriends her.

The next morning, Tom and Hank find him still chatting and flirting with the Moon. Tom wants to go for a hike, and it is time for the Moon to set. Instead, she comes up with the idea to go on the hike with them. During the hike, however, Ben is constantly on his laptop, still chatting. In the end, Tom tries to talk sense into him, but Ben wouldn't listen.

That night, the friends all pretend they were asteroids in need of help, to separate Ben and the Moon. Ben catches them, accusing Tom of being jealous of his relationship. Then, Ben tried to kiss the Moon. However, the moon gets so close to the Earth that the land cracks and the gravity lowers. Then, when Ben sees the friends floating, he tells the Moon to stop.

He tells Tom to take care, and also says goodbye to his mom, as he is planning to move to the moon to continue dating it.
