Hi, everyone, my name is Frank— No it’s not!
Hank the MillionaireTalking Tom and Friends

Hank Hank (born February 29[5]), better known as Hank and also known as Talking Hank, is one of the main characters of the many series in the Talking Tom & Friends franchise. Hank was generated to bring more "laughter and fun" to the members of the main cast of the franchise.[7] It has been suggested that before his debut he was favored internally within Outfit7 and was knowingly designed for audiences to fall in love with.[7][8] Hank was introduced as part of the Talking Friends series' reboot, following the sudden and unannounced removal of many of Outfit7's older apps and the retirement of characters such as Gina and Pierre. He made his debut in the pilot episode of the Talking Tom and Friends series, "The Audition", published by Outfit7 online in December of 2014. Afterwards, Hank was quickly added to the Outfit7 website and replaced Gina's profiles on several other official Talking Tom & Friends websites.

Hank is generally depicted as a kind-hearted, laid-back, slightly dimwitted, clumsy and happy-go-lucky individual whose naivety makes him never quite sure what's going on. Described as "charming in a goofy way",[6] what Hank lacks in intelligence he makes up for in his good-hearted personality. Though his residence and occupation vary, he is most often presented as Tom's roommate,[9][10][11][12] and a member of the gang. Hank spends most of his time with his friends and watching television, the latter which he has an affinity for. His love for it is so intense that it can be considered a sort of unhealthy obsession, and he is known to go into fits of rage when he does have it.[13] Hank is also known for his large appetite; His diet consists of practically anything edible,[4] and he has been shown to be able to eat tremendous amounts of food and still not be full.[14]

Hank is a largely recognized image in pop culture. It is said that from his debut in the 2014 series, Hank was quickly accepted by the fanbase, having become loved and adored by them.[8] After many major appearances across the series, he is considered by Outfit7 to be one of the core characters within the Talking Tom & Friends franchise.[15] His fame is attributed to the fact that he gives the franchise a "broader appeal" through his unique, relatable personality in the many narratives he appears in.[15]

Appearance

Hank generally appears as a white dog, Canis fabulatus, with brown eyes, blue ears, a blue spot on his right eye and a blue tipped tail, with a blue ring around it. He has short legs with his feet having three toes each, and his hands having four fingers on each hand.

Apps

In Talking Tom Bubble Shooter, Hank is given a T3 design, the same as the design he used in Season 1 of Talking Tom Shorts. Here, he is relatively the same as usual, but shorter than he is in the 2014 series.

From 2016 forwards Hank was given a chibi design. He appears without fur and his mouth is significantly larger, creating a cutesy Hank. Due to being redesigned to be more chibi styled, Hank is also significantly shorter, with a visibly huge head. Depending on the product, this design varies from being two and three-dimensional. His outfit also varies, depending on if he is wearing it in the game, with him wearing a red and yellow jacket, a yellow undershirt and dark blue shorts in Talking Tom Gold Run.

In Talking Tom Hero Dash, Hank uses his design from Talking Tom Gold Run, but now wears a superhero uniform. It consists of a blue and yellow jumpsuit, a blue mask, black shoes as well as a black baldric belt with a yellow bag in the middle. A blue symbol can be seen on the center of the bag, which appears to depict a paw.

Talking Tom and Friends

Like the majority of the nonhuman characters such as Tom and Ben, he initially did not wear clothes in the first three seasons, but starting from Season 4, he would sport a blue Hawaiian styled t-shirt with white flowers and white buttons, a brown beaded necklace, beige shorts and brown sandals.

Starting in "Waitress Angela", he gained a third outfit which was used interchangeably with his Season 4 outfit. In this outfit, he wore an orange graphic t-shirt with an image of Bongo & McGillicuddy on it.

Personality

Hank is portrayed as a laid-back, naive dim-witted individual whose gentle nature often makes serious situations more humorous than usual. He is lazy and does not have much common sense, which causes him to be slow to react and have a very short attention-span. His laid-back nature always makes him have a desire for food.

Hank is shown to be sweet, helpful, kindhearted, and despises to ever bother anyone. His temper only ever slips when something he loves is in danger. He's also shown to be very forgiving and trusting, which can cause occasional confusion amongst the friend group.

Hank also shows attributes of childish nature, such as role-playing in cardboard uniforms, which may be a result of his lack of intelligence.

Despite being romantically connected to the T.V and S.A.R.A, he is shown to be shy when an actual person likes him romantically. This can cause him to nervously flee and hide to avoid the subject.

Despite all this, he is shown to have great potential that he does not realize.

Drumroll, please…. It’s time to introduce Talking Hank – the latest addition to our Talking Tom and Friends family! He’s goofy, he’s clumsy, and he’s got one helluva short attention span, but we love him and we know you will too. Hank’s a sweet guy with a ready smile and a big heart. And though this can make him a bit gullible from time to time, he always sees the funny side!
Most days you’ll find him happily sitting on the couch (he loves TV with a fiery passion) but he’s always up for an adventure, even if he’s never 100% sure what’s going on! Bouncy, happy, and sometimes hilariously dopey, Hank brings even more laughter and fun to the Talking Tom and Friends gang. Watch out world – here comes Hank!

Hank's a great guy, and the best roommate a cool cat like me could hope to have. Hank is fiercely loyal and is always happy to help out when you need him... so long as he's not glued to the TV, that is. Hank is like a TV encyclopaedia and can tell you everything there is to know about random TV trivia. That's what makes him the perfect trainee... even if he's not very good at it.

Hank is probably the most gullible kid around. In fact, one of my favourite things to do is tease Hank - it's just so easy. The dude is hilarious!

Hank is great to hang out with - He's sweet, loyal, and charming... in a kinda goofy way. If you ever need a friend to depend on, it's Hank. He's a little bit ditzy but we all love him for it.

Hank is super chilled-out, which makes him great to have around in stressful situations. Although, he forgets everything!

Hank is a straightforward kinda guy - his big loves are TV, his friends, and being Tom's trainee. He is happy-go-lucky and is always smiling.

Oh hi there! My name’s Hank. I’m Tom’s trainee (and his super amazing roommate) and, if you ever need to find me, the couch in front of the TV is my domain. Also, I’m basically the brains of the operation. No, really – I am! Hey! Stop laughing!

Anyway, as I was saying, I love TV. Isn’t it the best? I’ll basically watch anything once. Maybe twice. I’ve actually watched every sitcom from 1986–1994. So you can ask me anything! Well, what are you waiting for? Go on ask me!

Notes

  1. In Tom Loves Angela, Angela claims that Hank is a "little younger" than Tom. As Tom is confirmed to be 20 years of age in Talking Angela, this would sit Hank around the age of 20.
  2. The given reason for the existence of anthropomorphic dogs is supposedly that they are Canis fabulatus, according to Talking Angela. Hank, being an anthropomorphic dog, would technically be clarified as one.
