Ginger's parents are minor characters from the Talking Tom & Friends franchise. They are the parents of Ginger, relatives of Tom, and the second richest people in town.[1]

The two live in a mansion along with their son, and while they are hardly seen in-person, they have been mentioned, or been on off-screen events, numerous times in the series.

Appearance[]

In Talking Tom and Friends Minis, the two greatly resemble their son in appearance. Both of them appear as anthropomorphic ginger cats, Felis fabulatus, with large ears and short tails. The main separating point between the two is that one of them has a rounded tail with cream stripes, while the other has a pointed tail, such as Tom. Both can also be seen wearing sun hats; the one on the left is wearing a dark purple sunhat with a pink stripe, while the other is wearing a tan sunhat with brown streaks.

However, in Talking Tom and Friends, the two have much more of a royal look to them, with Ginger's mom being an elderly ginger cat with ball earrings, a purple scarf, and a dark brown dress. Ginger's dad has bushy eyebrows, a mustache, and a beard.

Personality[]

While never usually seen in-person, it is shown that they are very generous to their son in a lot of ways. A few examples of this sort of behavior include giving Ginger a personal butler,[2] along with a butler's butler,[2] an outdoor pool,[3] and even the latest in highly-requested technology.[2] It is also said that Ginger's mother willingly spared fresh apples from her orchid flower garden so that the gang could make a fruit salad.[4]However, according to Ginger himself, this was only so that he would stay quiet.

Despite this generosity, they are also seemingly careless, and neglectful in a way where they unintentionally just let their son Ginger cause any damage to property, doing dangerous risk-taking activities[5] or accidentally injures himself in any way[6] while they are not around.

Notes[]

  1. While not directly specified in Talking Angela, the given excuse for the existence of anthropomorphic cats being that they are Felis fabulatus.
  2. On multiple occasions, Ginger has been specified to be Tom's nephew. As these are Ginger's parents, they must be related to Tom in some form for this to be the case. Although, their direct relationship with Tom is unknown, as it is common in the United States to refer to one's first cousin once removed by terms such as "(second) nephew" and "(second) niece" for the sake of convenience.
