Gilbert is a minor and the very first antagonist in Talking Tom and Friends. He was a robot made to serve as customer-service and answer report calls about complaints after bugs and glitches occurred in Tom and Ben Enterprises' apps.
Appearance[]
Gilbert is a red filing cabinet with a monitor mounted on it, as well as a yellow landline telephone used to answer calls.
Description[]
Gilbert is a customer service robot made by Gil and Bert, who also happen to be his namesakes.
Original version[]
The original version of Gilbert was a computer that provided customer service. It did not work properly, and they got rid of it by selling it to Tom.
New version[]
Ben reprogrammed it, both inside and outside. Gilbert's original prime directive was to take bug reports for Ben's apps, but it was reprogrammed to be more friendly.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Voice Detection: He had the ability to analyze other's tones to see whether they were friendly or condescending.
- Brute Strength: His one hand had the ability to flip over an entire couch with ease.
- Control over Garage: He had the power to close doors without touching them.
- Electrocution: He also had the ability to unplug one of his wires to electrocute his enemies, much like S.A.R.A..
History[]
Friendly Customer Service[]
Ben was busy fixing bugs on his new apps, but was constantly getting bug reports from his customers. So, Tom receives a robot that would automatically take the reports. However, it didn't function the way it was supposed to.
When Tom suggested that they should make it act more friendly, as it was more important for it to be friendly than to serve its prime directive. When the update was finished however, he grew attached to the friends. When Tom tried to shut him off, he gets angry and corners him and Ben into a garage. Gilbert asked a question about himself to Tom, and then electrocuted him for getting the answer wrong.
Later, it was eventually shut down by Tom, Ben and Angela asking a trick question. However, it was reactivated by Ginger, which led to his return in Escape: Impossible!.

It made a second appearance by locking the friends in the storage room. When it was discovered it was responsible, Tom calls for him. Gilbert was happy that Tom was willing to be his friend. Gilbert hugs all the friends, but Ben manages to reach the wire and he shuts Gilbert down, which deactivated it for good.

- Gilbert's head heavily resembles the Commodore PET, a line of 1977 personal computers.
- Gilbert is the first antagonist to appear in Talking Tom and Friends.
- He appeared as a cameo in Season 4-Season 5 version of the Theme Song.
