Talking Ginger is unhappy with his strict nanny, who dresses him like a baby and won't let him go to a demolition derby. Talking Tom agrees to take over the nanny-ing job, thinking all he has to do is be cool. But the pressure of keeping Ginger safe quickly becomes more than Tom bargained for.
Plot[]
Tom and his friends want to go to the demolition derby. Ginger's parents have bought tickets. However, Ginger bursts in, telling them that he snuck out of his own home because his babysitter was overprotective, and that she hid the tickets to the derby because she thought it was unsafe. So, Tom agrees to be Ginger's nanny.
Tom and Ginger do cool things together, bouncing on the couch and doing crazy bicycle stunts. However, when Ginger jumps off a tree, Tom gets a reality check that tells him that he needed to keep Ginger safe, so he starts getting a little overprotective, and then catches Ginger trying to sneak away.
So, Tom locks him into a giant plastic bubble, and even cancels the trip to the demolition derby. Ginger loses his temper and destroys the garage in a fit and commands Ben, Hank and Angela to muscle the key from Tom to let him out. The friends agree, and to teach Tom a lesson, they locked Tom into the bubble and went to the derby without him.
After the derby, Tom admitts that he was being too overprotective. Ginger goes back to his original nanny, but Tom realizes that Ginger still has the key, so he is left behind and trapped in the plastic bubble. Hank throws his ball to Tom, but it bounces back from the plastic bubble, and hits Hank in the face.
