Angela[note 1] (born February 2,[6][7] 1995[8]), also known as Talking Angela, is one of the main characters of the many series in the Talking Tom & Friends franchise. Angela was generated and designed by Ukrainian artist Andrey Kravchenko, after recently being hired into Outfit7 in 2010.[34][1] Angela made her debut as Tom's partner in the romantic Valentine's Day app, Tom's Love Letters, in January of 2012, before being properly introduced and popularized after her appearance as a major character in the Disney webseries, Talking Friends, in July of the same year.
Angela is generally depicted as a glamourous, stylish, classy and very emotional beautiful[26] young[4] white cat who loves attention and is the girlfriend, love interest or best friend[35] of Tom. Though her occupation varies on occasion, she is usually a big time star who has a singing career, singing being a passion she has had since her childhood.[36][5] She wishes to share her songs with the world, and can be found attempting to get gigs or submit her songs to publishers, which leads her into many places and different situations. She often works with her friends, Tom, Ben, Ginger, Hank and sometimes a few others to help release her songs, but due to their lack of musical knowledge, crazy behavior and her low-tolerance for it, she is easily frustrated with them.
Angela is a largely recognized image in pop culture. Despite being subjected to a famous hoax between 2012-2014, Angela is still very popular with audiences, some of her apps having received millions, if not billions, of downloads. After many major appearances across the series, she is considered by Outfit7 to be one of the core characters within the Talking Tom & Friends franchise.[37] As of late 2014, she is considered to be the fourth most popular character in the franchise.[38] Her fame is attributed to the fact that she gives the franchise a "broader appeal" through her unique, relatable personality in the many narratives she appears in.[37]
Appearance
Angela generally appears as an 18 year old[39] white cat, specifically a Felis fabulatus,[15] with long pure white[17] fur that is around two-inches thick,[40] twelve long whiskers on each side of her face,[41] large brilliant blue[17] eyes with large black eyelashes, a long and fluffy tail with a pointed tip, a small pink nose, and large triangular ears with pink canals. She also has four fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot, and occasionally has eyebrows depending on the media. The outfit she wears varies across media, depending on if she has it.
Talking Friends
In Talking Friends, Angela appears similar to her other designs, but she is visibly more realistic and does not wear clothes due to it being released before her redesign in 2014.
Talking Tom and Friends, Talking Tom Heroes, Talking Tom and Friends Minis
From Season 1 to Season 3 of the 2014 series, Angela wore a pink T-shirt with a white heart on it and blue denim shorts. She is also barefoot.
In "Tennis Kid", it is revealed that she has a large scar on her forehead, although it is not visible by normal means due to her fur covering it.
Angela is seen in another outfit near the end of "Embarrassing Memories". Due to the timeline being altered, Angela wears a green T-shirt with three white flowers on it.
In "Couples Clash (Part 2)" and "The Big Nano Lie", it is revealed that she wears a white tank top with purple stains and blue drawstring pants with a pattern of sheep on them.
From Season 4 of Talking Tom and Friends onwards, she wore a purple tank top under a pink off-shoulder short-sleeved crop top with a darker pink heart on it, blue jean-shorts and pink ballet flats. She also wears a pink bracelet on her right wrist with a dark pink heart in the center.
Starting from "Hank's First Date", Angela wore a pink t-shirt with darkish-purple polka dots. This outfit is used interchangeably with her Season 4 outfit.
In "Beach Day in the Desert", Angela wore a deep pink swimsuit with light pink polka dots. She also wore blue sandals.
In "Talking Tom Heroes" Angela wears a rose mask with her crystal on top of the mask to use her super glasses in order to look for the enemy along with a rose superhero jumpsuit having two light blue triangular stripes on her hips and collar on the front and back while wearing a belt with an A shaped buckle.

Angela's casual outfit normally consists of her wearing either a pink tank top or a pink t-shirt and blue denim shorts.

Angela is an easygoing, kind and friendly character throughout all of her appearances. She is also a believer, and loves to work herself, and she never gives up. But still, sometimes she can't control her emotions and can get mad at Tom.
As the only girl in the group, she cares for the gang and worries for them. But at times they tend to test her patience which causes her to become a bit hot-headed. Though in the end, she cares for them all and they care for her.
She is interested in Tom, showing signs of jealousy from time to time especially during the episode "Parallel Universe" when Tom was hanging out with an alternate version of Angela. In "Everybody Hates Tom", she and Tom were temporarily broken up due to the Helping Hand sabotage and Tom being framed. Because of that, she rejected Tom. She would later realize that Roy was framing Tom in "Talking Roy and Friends".
Talking Friends
Angela was a very busy person, focusing a lot on her music career, more than she does in Talking Tom and Friends, hanging out with the friends occasionally.
Angela is all about style, glamour and fame. It is said that she travels the world, breathing in its culture and class, while "mixing it up with sass". Always battling for a new cause, Angela hates injustice and hypocrisy. Angela is very nice though and loves giving out advice on how to live your life to the fullest.
An aspiring singer, Angela started out as a contestant for the singing show Feline Factor, however, she soon gained an interest in becoming a movie star.
Angela is full of dreams and creativity; she is very optimistic and is always ready to cheer up others if needed.
Angela maintains an easy-going confident voice on her all the time. Unlike the 2014 show (until Season 4), Angela is already a big time star and is always talking about music.
Talking Tom and Friends
Angela is a music-loving cat who likes to sing her heart out about joy and positivity, though she can make negative songs, such as "Game On Glitter Girl", one of her most popular songs in the show, and "Payne Can't Hurt Me", but very rarely. She is confident in her singing and often gets gigs and jobs for her talent. When she is not singing, she likes designing clothes and shopping for them.
She is interested in Tom, but before they started dating it was hinted that she liked him. She would show signs of jealousy from time to time especially during the episode "Parallel Universe", when Tom was hanging out with an alternate version of Angela.
She and Tom shared a former running gag in seasons 2 and 3, where Tom constantly stood her up, though in "Extreme First Date" it was a misunderstanding.
Angela likes Bad Tom more than his normal variant as shown in the episode "Good Girls Fall for Bad Boys", where she falls in love for an evil version Tom from an evil futuristic dimension. However, she denied to accept him over her own Tom, as her Tom was better in his attitude, no matter how much he messed up.
In "Everybody Hates Tom", she and Tom were temporarily broken up due to the Helping Hands sabotage and Tom being framed. Due to that, she rejected Tom. In "Talking Roy and Friends", she realized that Roy was trying to frame Tom and harm her, Ben, Ginger and Hank.

Angela met Tom when she was out with her friends one evening, trying to find a music concert her and her friends found online.[43] It was dark, and the four of them had gotten lost in a large warehouse district.[44] Shortly after, Tom found the group and asked if they needed any help.[45] Angela and Tom shook paws,[46] and it turned out he was going to the same concert as her.[47] Tom also knew the band, and was able to get Angela and her friends in for free.[48] The two hung out together the whole evening,[49] and later Tom pulled Angela aside and asked for her phone number.[50] Angela gave him her home phone number, and after Angela arrived home, he called instantly. The noise woke Angela's parents, and she was grounded for staying up so late.[51]
Since then, the two have been on countless adventures together, and the two have been a couple since the events of "Just Friends". Angela loves Tom, and they have a long-lasting love bond, and she is happy when with him. Angela can sometimes get upset with him, even though they always work out at one point.
Tom's goofy, disobedient and sometimes flat-out dumb personality occasionally causes Angela embarrassment, as well as the occasional fatal mistake causes Tom and Angela to break up. However, the two always get back together in the end.
In Talking Friends, she flirts with Tom sometimes, but also teases him in a nice, competitive spirit sort-of way.
In the My Talking Tom video game series, Angela and Tom are not in a romantic relationship.[35] The two are instead presented as best friends, but sometimes there is a romantic relationship between them, though Angela is easily annoyed by Tom's clumsiness and his crazy behavior.
Ben:
Angela and Ben are normal and close friends. She occasionally asks Ben to do something for her when in need of help. Ben and Angela love reading books according to Tom Loves Angela.
Hank:
Angela and Hank are normal and close friends. They both enjoy going on different adventures along with the rest of their friends.
Ginger:
Ginger and Angela are normal and close friends. Though, in one episode in Season 1 and one episode in Season 2, Angela was chasing Ginger and tried to attack him with anger.
Ginger also pulls pranks on Angela in an attempt to set off her temper, as seen in "Think Hank", although he tends to do this to the rest of the group as well.
Becca:
Angela and Becca were rivals at first, but after they found out their rivalry was a big misunderstanding, they decided to become best friends and sing together. In Season 5, Becca becomes Angela's roommate in her apartment.

Conception
The original model designed by Kravchenko, which would eventually come to be known as "Angela".
After the success of Talking Tom Cat, Outfit7 CEO Andrej Nabergoj decided to search for and recruit the person responsible for the cat model used in the game into his company. Andrey Kravchenko, freelance 3D artist and creator of the model used for the latter game, was located in Ukraine by Nabergoj and recruited by him into Outfit7 in 2010.[34] Angela was a model designed by Kravchenko and created directly for the company,[1] and debuted in Tom's Love Letters on January 28, 2012, making her the fourth character designed by Kravchenko to be used in the franchise, after Tom, Santa and Ben.
Though Andrey Kravchenko is technically responsible for the creation of Angela, Bruce and Sue Wilcox, founders of Brillig Understanding, Inc. and responsible for the chatbot and script used in Tom Loves Angela and Talking Angela, have also credited themselves as Angela's creators,[52] likely due to their work on the two apps.
Trivia
- Originally, Angela was not going to constantly wear clothes in the 2014 series, as a layout reel of "The Audition" shows her without clothes.
- Her model would update occasionally, similar to every character. It started with the 2012 style, then shifted in 2014, followed by changes in 2019, and now for this year.
- Just like the other original main characters, she appeared in every episode of Talking Tom and Friends.
- Her Brazilian voice actress, Letícia Navas, became the special presenter of the children's program Bom Dia & Cia in 2013.
- She is the only one in the gang to wear clothes from Seasons 1-3 in the 2014 series.
- She, like the rest of the gang, did not wear shoes until Season 4 of the 2014 series.
- She was the only female in the gang until Becca debuted, unless some Talking Friends characters are counted.

- She is claimed to be a 'pedophile' due to the Talking Angela hacker eye theory.
- The theory states that the app is created by a group of pedophiles to track down children's location using the chat feature of the game, some people even claimed that they have seen a man on Angela's eye. However, the theory was debunked and considered to be a hoax eventually.

- In Talking Tom and Friends, her height can vary. While early episodes showed her to be shorter than Ben and Tom or be the same height as them, the later seasons show her either being the same height as them or taller than them, making her the tallest member of the group.
- In most media, Angela is portrayed as slim. The only exception to this is in the T4 Minis artstyle, where she is shown to be slightly chubby as seen in "Diet Plan", an episode of Talking Tom and Friends Minis.[54]
- According to one description for the episode, her scale is simply tricking her, though this is not stated or shown in the episode.
- In the episode of the 2014 series "Mission: Delete", when Angela suddenly stumbles upon seeing Tom and Ben checking out her old MyFace account, it reveals that an unknown amount of years ago Angela was an emo, or part of a similar subculture.[5]
- In "You Get Me", an official Talking Tom & Friends music video, Angela is shown to have met Tom during a small convention with multiple attractions, however, the Talking Angela and Tom Loves Angela app claims Angela met Tom while lost in the streets.
- The romantic relationship name between Angela and Tom is titled "TomGela" in a video released by the official Talking Tom & Friends YouTube channel in 2013.[55] However, this name has yet to be used in-world.
- In Talking Angela, Angela states she has crushes on multiple celebrities who are not Tom. When asked about, she replies with "It's complicated."
- According to Talking Angela and Tom Loves Angela, Angela's favorite food is fish,[27] and her favorite drink is raw milk.[28]

- In Talking Angela and Tom Loves Angela, Angela states that her favorite game is House of Mice. However, when playing it, she sometimes intentionally lets herself lose so the enemy cat can win.[59]
- According to Talking Angela and Tom Loves Angela, Angela's favorite show is the 2009 American reality series Project Runway.[19]
- According to Talking Angela and Talking Angela, Angela works a part-time job in a clothing store called Jason's boutique.[60]
- According to Talking Angela and Tom Loves Angela, Angela owns a private Facebook account that she uses for friends and family.[61]
- Angela's characteristics, such as her round face, short muzzle, long white fur and blue eyes, bear a resemblance to the chinchilla Persian cat. Whether she was based on this breed of cat or if the similarities are unintentional, however, is currently unknown.
- In Tom Loves Angela, Angela mentions that she has one more ex-partner other than Roger. However, there is not much information known about the person she formely dated since she will refuse to tell the user anything related about them if asked.
